Craftsman, Green Construction This Craftsman style home is one of the first to participate in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Homes program. It's also registered with USGBC for Platinum certification. Nestled on 10.8 acres 30 miles east of Sacramento, it features solar, super-insulation, a rain catchment system for irrigation of a 2-acre hillside vineyard and organic garden, Energy Star appliances, and many interior materials contributing to indoor air quality (recycled content, formaldehyde-free, no-VOCs). Responsible building practices including minimizing landfill waste, maximizing forest conservation, and using materials from local sources whenever possible were used. Millwork for stair treads, fireplace mantels, ceiling beams and bar were milled onsite from pine and black oak trees removed from the building footprint. Peninsula Bungalow The renovation of this 1950s bungalow featured the addition of a second story, decks, and extensive custom cabinetry for both appearance and functionality. Bathrooms were completely remodeled with premium fixtures for a luxurious, charming European feel. |
Carmichael Addition & Upgrade This sngle-story ranch was expanded by 1600 square feet. The Master Suite was enlarged and a spa-like Master Bath added. Arden Ranch-Style Remodel Remodel of a '50s single-story, ranch-style home in Sacramento, California. Opening up the wall between the small kitchen and livingroom creates an open area for cooking and entertaining – the addition of a large island with granite countertops, combined with Caeserstone countertops give the kitchen a modern, sophisticated look. Custom cabinetry includes a recycling center, stainless steel corner pullouts and a pantry to maximize storage. |
